Published by Cassell and Company, Ltd, London, New York, Toronto and Melbourne, 1912. In a custom binding, arranged as Volume 1 (of 3). This book comprises 'Volume 1' only which is split into two main parts of 197pp and 92pp, with 36 colour Plates in total.
Printed in London. This was originally released as a series of Partworks, released fortnightly we believe.
A good hardback with green cloth over boards and tan leather spine with maroon morocco title label with gilt. Some bumping and shelfwear. Small bookbinder's stamp to first pastedown. After the half title a 3pp complete index has been prepared and typed, listing the flowers in alphabetical order for all 3 volumes. This is tipped-in to the book. Binding is open to the gutter at this page, but the rest of the book is soundly bound.
Some spotting to endpapers and edge of text block. Text is bright and clean throughout, and with the attractive photographic plates, this makes for an attractive book.
Text in English.
